The sale is brought to you by the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District in partnership with Agrecol Native Seed and Plant Nursery.
Plants must be pre-ordered by April 2nd and will be available for pick-up on Saturday June 6th, 2026 at MMSD’s Headquarters. See map below for location and pick up details.
If we do not sell out the sale will close April 2nd, 2026. We recommend ordering early to avoid missing out.
Plant condition is not guaranteed beyond the June 6th pick-up date.

Rain gardens help reduce water pollution by collecting rain mainly from roofs, driveways, or other hard surfaces, and absorbing the water into the ground naturally. They are typically planted with wildflowers or native plants that have deep roots, which help to soak up more water. They can be placed near downspouts on homes (although away from building foundations and sewer laterals), and offer many benefits.
We love plants at the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, but we’re not a plant nursery! This native plant sale offers affordable plants that help keep excess rain out of our sewer system and protect Lake Michigan.

Plant pick-up will take place on Saturday, June 6th
Hours: 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Location: MMSD’s Headquarters, 260 W. Seeboth Street, Milwaukee.
Make sure to mark the pick-up date on your calendar; there is only one pickup date. We do not have adequate/secure storage for plants. Plant condition not guaranteed beyond pick-up date. *Orders not claimed by June 20th will be donated to local gardens.
